The old local rhyme goes:
Aynho on the hill
Clifton in the clay,
Dirty, drunken Deddington
And Hempton Highway.
Whilst no longer dirty it is still home to a wide selection of pubs and quality restaurants’
fit for any dining requirements from Pies to a la carte, from Chinese to Indian or
just some good wholesome pub food and good local beer.
Deddington also has a wide range of shops from a post office, convenience store (with
a cash point), antique centres, delicatessens, ladies fashion and beauty.
The Market Place is dominated by the historic Church of St. Peter and St. Paul part
of which dates back to the 13th century.
